What do you think?

We hope you were impressed and some of you have got straight on to let us know.  We thought it was a great way to let you see the big changes we’re making.  Some have said why not online?  Well, we’ve done that as well but we want you to see the investment we’re putting into making this work for you.

Much as we know people felt what we were doing was principled, it was curtailed by the lack of men. Despite some lovely successes, there were limits to what we could do and it was frustrating.  We had to change.

With Ronnie Randall, our new owner on board, we’ve got a sound business structure to make the business more successful.

With online dating declining, we’ve created what we think is a unique ‘singles club’ with an events-led programme for our vetted singles.

Introductions can still take place individually, if that’s what you want but, if not, we can introduce you at our curated events!

What’s included?

Our events have started with curated, intimate dinner parties where we invite you if the mix is right.  We also have the following exclusive offerings in your membership package.

  • ENO at The Ivy Club with Dinner – 28th October 2024
  • Witness for the Prosecution – Q&A with performance
  • Fishing and Shooting at Biddlesden
  • Two seasonal champagne cocktail parties
  • Nadia’s Hampshire Art Gallery opening exclusively for The Casting singles network
  • The Casting’s own London Walking Tours with Jack Chesher
  • Wine tour and tasting including dinner
  • Exclusive art trips to Paris or Florence for The Casting – 2/3 days with expert tour guide and all inclusive (Autumn 2025)

For our younger members, a weekend of clay shooting, fishing and fun at an exclusive venue in a beautiful part of Perthshire

Mollusc Matchmaking

If you think dating is bad for you, try being a conch!

You may have seen on the news that even molluscs are losing out on love by being in the wrong places and the Queen conch in Florida has become the latest to need vital dating intervention.  Some creatures are getting so warm that they don’t even bother fully developing their reproductive organs and instead are opting to focus all their energy on trying to survive.

The Queen conch is getting a second chance at romance thanks to a new “speed dating” program designed for shellfish with human intervention picking them out from the warmer, shallower areas to move them to cooler, deeper seas!  Without ‘matchmaking’ opportunities being created the nearshore conch would be destined for a life of celibacy.

Soaring sea temperatures have left these gastropods not only feeling sluggish and completely uninterested in, well… making more gastropods. The heat’s gone up, and the libido’s gone down.

Why men and women have to pay?

The Casting is dedicated to fairness and equality, somewhat unlike the general experience in the matchmaking world.   We regularly hear the challenges women have faced after paying big investments.  They’re meeting men who haven’t invested in the process and are often recruited from online sites.  If there’s a continuing Rolodex of dates, what commitment is there from men?  In reality, very little.

All agencies have a lack of men.  That’s unlikely to change.  We are investing in experiences to provide opportunities to enjoy spending time with likeminded people. It’s a unique way to run things, adding value to the matchmaking process and ensuring that men approach it with a sense of responsibility and real intent.

Basically, you’re making sure that being part of the service means being accountable. And in a time where many dating platforms can feel casual or impersonal, this approach stands out. Do you feel like your male clients have responded well to this?
